In addition to being a cinematographer, I also teach film directing and film studies classes at Austin Community College. One of my colleagues, Laura DiMeo, did a faculty profile on my takeaways from Sundance. One of the amazing things about the festival is not only meeting new friends/collaborators and seeing fantastic and boundary-pushing films, but connecting with old friends.
Here I am with one of the cast members for Holy Hell, David Christopher. David and I met on the set of a film I was shooting while in grad school in Austin, and here we are at Sundance nearly 10 years later. Small world indeed.
