Hayes wrote this song as a sort of "love letter" to his son Eli. Hayes' latest album,
the first in 4 years, was written after going through a divorce with his then wife
and Eli's mom. Hayes wanted to celebrate Eli's talent, and chose Ginny's Little
Longhorn in Austin as a place to record the video among friends.
